Airbrush Tanning Is It Safe?
Yes, so safe,in fact, pregnant women and children are even encouraged to get a tan! Our airbrush tanning solution is made from DHA (a sugar derivative) that is naturally found in the human body, vitamins and other all natural skin care supplements to moisturize and nourish the skin. DHA is very safe and has been used cosmetically for over 30 years!
I am of African American descent, can I get an airbrush tan?
Yes, absolutely! In fact, we very often airbrush people from all nationalities. If you are African American we will gladly airbrush you. Sometimes we will use a clear/gold color if you are looking to "glow"or if you have an uneven skin tone this color works beautifully to even out your undertone. We have all color shades so we can make the most ashy of skin tones "pop"! So, give our salon a call, don't be shy, we will make you shine!
Is there any preparation needed?
Please shower, shave (wash thoroughly after shaving to remove any excess shaving cream) and exfoliate on the day of your tanning session. However, this does not have to be done immediately prior to your airbrush session as we provide you with exfoliating cloths here. After shower, or before you come in for your session, please do not wear make-up, moisturizer, lotion, perfume or deodorant to the salon. because our solutions are all natural and is airbrushed onto the skin, stimulating your pigment to tan, clean, open pores will give the best results. We advise against waxing on the day of your session, wait 24 hours after waxing before you tan.
What should I wear to my airbrush session?
Please wear loose-fitting clothing ( T-shirt, shorts or sweat pants) to the salon. However, if you come during the work day do not worry, there is virtually no transfer of color to your clothing. if there is any, it will minimal and comes off in the wash. You will feel like you have a good moisturizer on for about an hour. Wearing tight clothing home may be uncomfortable.
What should I wear to tan in?
Please wear whatever you feel comfortable in. We provide disposable thongs, at no cost upon request. However, our male clients must wear boxers, briefs, shorts, or trunks as required by law.
How long will my airbrush session take?
About 6 minutes to be airbrushed, and there is no dry time. You can get dressed right away and go about your day/night.
When will I see results?
Immediately! Due to a color guide, but remember, your tan is still processing for the next 6 to 8 hours. During that time your color will darken.
What about after tanning? Is there anything special I have to do?
Just avoid excess sweating and water until you have showered.
After 6 to 8 hours you are able to shower. You will see some color in the water, but do not worry, this is only the cosmetic color guide separating. You will be left with a beautiful tan!
Remember to moisturize daily and enjoy your tan!
